Lucifer’s Hammer. Tuesday practice yesterday 16.02.16 at Killarney Raceway in Cape Town. Went well. Albeit we failed the sound check by 4 db. So, pack the exhaust with some steel wool and try again! I wont be racing in the season opener on Saturday, The Power Series due to not having my licence yet and still some small issues with the bike, ie exhaust too noisy and my clutch which needs to be bled. I am also waiting for the new tyres, Dunlop D211 to arrive. I am going to try and get the bike to Danie Maritz Racing to have the bike dyno’d and a quick shifter installed. I have tried running without a quick shifter and doing clutch-less gear changes but this is causing me issues on down shifting and I have ended up missing braking points and running wide due to being in the wrong gear when tuning in. Also on up shifts I have found myself hitting too many false neutrals and this all cannot be good for the gear box, let alone my times. I have practice again this afternoon, Wednesday 17th and intend doing some timing to see where we are on the timing sheets.
