First official practice session went well. No issue with leaks or rattles etc etc. Only issue to resolve is the steering damper which needs to be re positioned as it is fouling against the inside body work. This is not an on track issue but just when moving around the pits. With having removed the front suspension for servicing and having removed the steering damper I think it also needs to be slightly adjusted as it seems to be a little tight which makes it more difficult to throw the bike into the corners and I tend to miss the apex. Just a case of loosening up the front end a little so it turns in quicker. At present it feels very heavy on turn in and just wont go where I want it to.
Cobwebs have been blown out to a greater extent. I wasn’t out to break records but in the second session I was keeping up with the power sport guys and even took one into turn 5 under brakes. The Galfer front rotor and race pads are just plain scary. You really don’t want to panic stop with this setup coz it will throw you straight over the bars. very powerful. This will off course mean some thinking about the rear end and introducing more control over the rear lifting under heavy braking. Perhaps a White Bros rear shock setup. Martin?
Next update is a new set of rubber from Dunlop for our first race. The Power Series Round 1 on the 20th Feb 2016.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
