Lucifer’s Hammer. 2nd practice yesterday went very well. Howling South Easter didn’t help much. I ended up out braking myself on three occasions going into turn 1 at Killarney Raceway. Problem was front end “chatter” which seems to be pre-load on the front springs. So this will have to be adjusted slightly. Another cause may be the oil level is too high. However going forward, I shall see how it performs again at the next practice, then adjust accordingly. I hope, though for a day with no or little wind. Last weeks practice post check revealed I was only running at about 60% throttle opening, not a bad thing for the bikes first outing. Made the necessary adjustments and yesterday it felt like a new bike. Pulling power wheelies out of turn 1 and turn 5. I am guessing, however I think I have my times down to around the 1:25 mark. Fastest time I have ridden on this bike is a low 1:21 so lots of room for improvement. New tyres will chop off around 2 seconds and with six more practice days to go I should be well in the 1:22 for the first race on the 20th February.
