Super Series 12 November Killarney
After having raced at only two previous events this season and in both of those only managing to complete the first races it came as a complete surprise to find myself on the podium to collect second place in class. Not bad going at all. The race was fairly uneventful except for my botched starts in both races. I really need to get my head right when it comes to the start procedure.

After getting away in race one and being completely swamped by other riders behind me I settled down to start picking them off one by one. Which is always good practice.

I qualified for race one around 17th on the grid and finished around 15th. So not a great start. The second race I qualified around 16th and finished again somewhere around 15th overall. However in both these cases I probably ended up 5 or 6 places back from where I qualified due to bad starts and had to fight back to improve my on track position. So did quite well all considered.

The bike was epic. Handling was excellent, no issues with head shake of lifting the rear on hard braking. Front fork seals went though. So that’s a quick trip to MP Custom Valve. Also a fair amount of oil in the air cleaner trunking from the crank case breather which implies rings are on their way out. Job for the summer break.
