Peter Baker, a longstanding member of the Harley Davidson Club of Cape Town and member of Western Province Motor Club lives in Edgemead in Cape Town and has been involved with motorcycles his whole life. Motorbike transport.
Having owned such creditable bikes as a brand new Honda CX 500 custom, Kawasaki LTD 750, Kawasaki LTD 1100, Yamaha XV1.1, his first Harley was a 1946 WLA 750 bought in 1998, currant bikes include his centre spread ’79 HD Iron Head Sporty full chopper in the true sense of the word, 2005 Buell XB12s and his Buell 1125rr DSS race bike, Lucifer’s Hammer. Peter has over the years attended many rallies throughout SA as well as the Isle of Man TT races and the Sturgis Rally in the Black Hills of Dakota USA. Although rallies do not feature so highly on the calendar any more racing his Buell is prominent. About Bike Transport
Peter’s background started with 10 years in the British army in a cavalry regiment, on leaving the army he started a small transport company in the UK transporting surf boards and surfing gear from manufacturers and agents to retail shops along the South Coast of England. After three years of this he sold the business and came to South Africa where he worked at Nashua head office in Midrand then joined Primedia becoming sales manager, Southern Region before leaving to start his own media company which he had for around 25 years.
